Important Dates: The tour begins on February 23 in Colombo, Sri Lanka and ends on March 14 at Kochi, India.  We spend 9 days in Sri Lanka and 12 days in Sri Lanka.

We begin the tour on Feb 23, arriving at the Colombo Airport.  You are responsible for securing your own tickets from the U.S. (or elsewhere) to Colombo.  Please arrive as early as possible in the day.  You will be picked up at the airport and brought to our beach hotel.  

We will end the tour near the end of the day on March 14 in Kochi (Cochin).  You will either be dropped at the airport on that day, or brought to a nearby hotel (your choice and expense).

Flying Strategies: Some people will purchase R/T tickets to/from the US to Colombo, then a one way ticket from Kochi back to Colombo to catch their return flight back to the US.  The most convenient and time efficient plan is to fly into Colombo, arriving Feb 23 and out of Kochi, back to the States, on the evening of March 14.  There is often no rhyme or reason for the pricing of tickets, so you will just have to explore the options.  momondo.com is the best international search engine.  

All land travel, plus one flight from Sri Lanka to Kerala on March 2, will be arranged by GeoWandering.  While land cost is included in your fee, the one-way flight on March 2 will be booked by GeoWandering, on your behalf, but the cost will be passed to you as a supplemental charge (paid for before departing the U.S).  Only the incoming and outgoing flights to/from the US are your responsibility - both the booking and the expense. 

Tour Cost and what’s included

The tour cost is $2,850, or discounted to $2,550 for early bird sign up (by Dec. 1).  This price is based on double occupancy (shared room), single room surcharge is $420.  Airfare is extra - we will help you find the appropriate flights and the best prices.  The cost for any personalized services, like Ayurvedic spa treatment, massages, salon services, surf lessons, surfboard rental or alcoholic beverages is your responsibility.  Accommodations, meals, safari's, park entrance fees, translator, and ground transportation is all included in the fee.  As explained above, there will be a supplemental fee (at cost only) for the flight on March 2 between Sri Lanka and India.
